THE N.S.CHAMBER OF COMMERCE CITIZEN OF THE YEAR AWARDS
will take place at the N.S.Community Hall in Celista on Saturday,Feb.16 at 5:30pm with a Pot Luck dinner. Bring your own utensils.

ST.DAVID’S CHURCH
members wish to thank all those who donated or purchased items from the thrift Shop in 2001. Proceeds have helped many people in the North Shuswap and in other communities in B.C. The thrift Shop will re-open in April.

N.S.NATURALIST CLUB
holds meetings on the third Thursday of each month,the next one taking place at 7pm on February 21 at the N.S.Community Hall in Celista. Rolland will be in charge of entertainment. Some of the activities of the past year were the Christmas bird count,the swan and eagle count,trips to Quilchena and Douglas Lake. New members will be most welcome. has been redecorated by the N.S. Women’s Institute and looks great.

will be open for business Friday,Feb.8. Owners Jordan and Greg Baker and Lynne Baker invite everyone from the N.Shuswap and surrounding communities to come in and enjoy a coffee. Your comments and suggestions as to the farm,garden and pet products to be provided,are welcomed. This N.S.business is easy to find,3838 Squilax/Anglemont Rd in Scotch Creek (near the Fire Hall) Hours are 9am to 5pm, 7 days a week.

ANGLEMONT SENIOR CENTRE
"Clowning Around" is the entertainment scheduled for Saturday, Feb.23 with Happy Hour at 6:30pm and a light meal at 8pm. A Bingo dance, fun dancing and a "Mix ‘em up"dance will be part of the program. Cost is $8.for members and $10.for non members.

A VALENTINE DANCE
will take place Saturday,Feb.16 from 8pm to midnight,following the Chamber of Commerce Dinner at the community Hall in Celista. Live band Wolf 359,door prizes and dance prizes. Tickets available at the Scotch Creek Lucky dollar store, and later at the Hall door. Cost for adults 16 and over is $10.For youths 11 to 15 years $5.. Children 10years and under free.

THE N.S.WOMEN’S INSTITUTE
will be holding a Valentine Tea on Thursday,Feb.14 at the N.S.Community Hall in Celista. Members will be wearing purple dresses and red hats. Watch for posters.

A VICTORIA SALLISS CRAFT WORKSHOP
will be held on March 30 at the N.S.Community Hall,with all day classes. Classes are not finalized yet,but so far Haidangu Embroidery, Folk Art, Glass Painting and Greeting Cards are on the agenda. The CRAFT GROUP is busy making trauma bags for the school and dolls for the Children’s Hospital. This is a busy group and everyone is welcome to join in from 10am to 2pm on Wednesdays at the Hall.
